R. L. Solberg is an author, professor, and the founder and president of The Biblical Roots Ministries, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to grounding believers in Scripture, defending historical Christianity, and exposing theological error through faithful Bible teaching and apologetics. Based in Nashville, TN, Solberg shares life with his beautiful wife of over 33 years (and her four cats). When he’s not writing or teaching, you’ll probably find him digging through a thrift store tie rack or playing his Les Paul a little too loud. With over two decades of study in theology, apologetics, and philosophy (both in the classroom and at the kitchen table), Solberg holds a Master of Theological Studies from Williamson College and studied Biblical Hebrew remotely at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He currently teaches theology as an adjunct professor at Williamson College and is a Ph.D. Candidate of Bible Exposition at Liberty University. Solberg writes thoughtfully on the Old Testament roots of the Christian faith, the New Covenant, and the Gospel. He’s known for his book "Torahism: Are Christians Required to Keep the Law of Moses?" and apologetic Bible studies like "The Law, The Christ, The Promise" (Zondervan), along with teaching resources through his blog, podcast, and speaking events. His speaking ministry combines scholarly insight with accessibility—making complex theological issues understandable and practical for everyday believers. He joyfully affirms the core doctrines of historic Christianity as expressed in the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds—and he’s passionate about helping others do the same.
