As a kid, R. C. Hill was raised on a steady literary diet of Goosebumps and Michigan Chillers. This cemented a lifelong love of reading, which inspired him to write books for middle graders in the hopes they too might find a love of reading. He is the author of The Hand Behind the Door and Other Scary Stories, a collection of short horror stories for children. One day, he will add sports books to his roster (pun intended) as well. When not writing or reading books, you can find him doing something outside (likely listening to an audiobook or maybe a podcast), playing some type of sport/running, or begging his wife to watch a horror movie. Born and raised in the Midwest United States, R. C. now lives in Virginia with his wife, son, and their dog. His books are targeted for kids 8-12.
