About Priya Kumar

Priya Kumar is an internationally acclaimed author, motivational speaker, biography specialist, screenwriter and storyteller whose imagination refuses to be confined to a single genre.

For over three decades, she has devoted herself to understanding one of life's greatest mysteries: human potential. Her journey has taken her across more than 50 countries, into over 2,000 organisations, and into the lives of more than three million people. Along the way, she has discovered that the most extraordinary stories are not always found in extraordinary circumstances, but in the choices ordinary people make when life challenges them to become more.

The author of 20 books and recipient of 46 international book awards, Priya's literary world is as diverse as her curiosity. Her writing travels freely across inspirational fiction, self-help, personal transformation, collections of wisdom and quotations, business biographies, spiritual thrillers and crime fiction. For her, genres are not boundaries. They are simply different doors into the endlessly fascinating world of human nature.

As a biography specialist, Priya has had the rare privilege of documenting the lives of some of India's most influential industrialists and business leaders. Her work takes her beyond their public achievements, into the defining decisions, private struggles, values and convictions that shaped their journeys. This extraordinary access has given her a perspective on success that few storytellers are privileged to experience.

Her storytelling extends beyond books. Her novel I Will Go with You was adapted into The Final Call, a web series streaming on ZEE5. As a screenwriter, she continues to explore the possibilities of visual storytelling, creating narratives that entertain, intrigue and challenge the way audiences see the world.

Away from her writing desk, Priya is also a painter who finds in colours what she sometimes cannot express in words. And when she is not writing, painting or exploring the complexities of human existence, she can usually be found in the delightful company of her three Yorkshire Terriers, who, despite her considerable experience in leadership, remain gloriously unimpressed by her credentials.

At the heart of everything she creates lies an enduring fascination with life itself: its contradictions, its mysteries, its unexpected turns and the remarkable possibilities concealed within every human being.

For Priya, storytelling is not merely about telling people what happened. It is about helping them discover something they hadn't seen before.
