I was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1964 by Collie and Juanita Ivy. When I was nine we moved to , WI where I attended Holmes Grade School, Lincoln Middle and High School. I attended The University of Wisconsin Baraboo. The name Pimpin' Ken was first given to me by HBO when the documentary "Pimps Up and Hos Down" aired in 1997. It was at that time that I realized I had a talent for the camera. My performance and gift of gab put me in the spotlight. Thereafter, the calls from the Hip Hop community started. I received calls from Jermain Dupri, 50 Cent, Nelly, OutKast, Lil Jon, Snoop Dogg , E40, Big Daddy Kane, Ice-T, Too $hort, Katt Williams, Lil Flip, Pimp C, Loom from Bad Boy Records, Mack 10 and Pastor Troy. All of the above mentioned me in their videos and albums. I was influenced by Malcolm X, Don King and Napoleon Hill. I've been featured in XXL, Source, Hip Hop Weekly, and Vibe magazines. I've appeared on the Wendy Williams Show, Hot 97 in New York, Kay Slay show on Shade 45, Whoo Kid's Radio, Greg Street's Radio Show on V-103 in Atlanta, Frank Ski Show on 96.3 in Atlanta, Ed Lover Show on Backspin and many more. My artistic role is a vocal poetry/talk on the end and beginning of albums. I'm a public speaker, mentor and author. I also host parties. I discovered my passion after the HBO documentary. Helping these hood kids inspires me most. My future goal is to be the top independent publishing company in the game. I write to motivate and inform. I like to be remembered as a man that went from the streets to the executive suites. I've been to hundreds of venues. I'm currently working on promoting my new book, The Art of Human Chess: A Study Guide to Winning. I've written 2 books, produced 4 documentaries, appeared on more than 49 albums, 5 of which went more than platinum. I've appeared in over 15 industry videos that have over 10 million views. I appeared in the 2008 movie "It ain't easy" with Katt William, Mack 10 and Clifton Powers.
