Phil Allen is a hospice chaplain, writer, and spiritual director-in-training who has spent more than thirty years walking with people through the beauty and ache of everyday life. A former pastor and counselor, he writes with a voice that’s contemplative, honest, and quietly hopeful. His work explores themes of lament, faith, doubt, and the quiet places where God meets us in our ordinary life. Phil is the author of The Ache in the Ordinary and shares reflections through his newsletter, Wick & Whisper. When he’s not writing or on the road visiting patients, he can often be found at home enjoying his family in Wisconsin.
