Petra Maria Müller was born in Germany in the city of Stuttgart. When she was a child, her parents moved to Italy. After graduating in Psychology at the University of Rome, she continued her studies in Italy, obtaining a Master’s Degree at the University of Milan. Afterwards, she completed a Ph.D. in Psychiatry and child Neuropsychiatry at the University of Turin, receiving the title of European Doctor. She also spent working periods at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience of the King’s College of London in 2010 and at the Unit of Social and Community Psychiatry of the Queen Mary University of London in 2014, where she conducted scientific activities on themes concerning mental health. She has worked mainly with adults, teens and children. Specialty areas include relationships issues, anxiety and eating disorders and parenting. In her practice, she delivers Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other evidence-based approaches such as Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). She published scientific contributions in the field of mental health and presented her work at varying international conferences.
