Peter M. Curtis, author of Maintaining Mission Critical Systems in a 24/7 Environment, has over thirty years of experience designing, operating, managing, and educating in the mission critical facilities engineering industry. He is the founder of Power Management Concepts, LLC, an Engineering, Research and Technology Company that specializes in Mission Critical Advisory Services. PMC provides the best in class engineering and consulting services by improving operations, reducing downtime, and promoting energy efficiency, while decreasing greenhouse gas production. Peter graduated New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) with a Bachelors Degree in Electro-Mechanical Computer Technology, and then received his Master of Science Degree in Energy Management from NYIT in 1994. From then on, Peter has been an Associate Professor at NYIT, as well as a recently appointed Chairman of the Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation Center Advisory Board. A keynote speaker for numerous semiannual conferences, Peter continues to present in major cities all across the US and Canada for the Association of Facilities Engineers (AFE), 7/24 Exchange, International Facilities Management Association (IFMA), Data Center Dynamics, and AFCOM. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, International Electrical Testing Association, and the Association of Energy Engineers as well. Throughout his career, Peter has written dozens of articles and whitepapers that focus on critical power, clean energy, critical system operations, and business resiliency. He has been at the forefront of developing new technology innovations for products such as M.C. Access, Green Bus, and SmartWalk along with the development of Education content/LMS all to reduce human error and improve energy security for the Digital Society.
