Peter F. Bowers is an entrepreneur, pilot, and the former owner and president of WACO Aircraft Corporation in Battle Creek, Michigan. He acquired the company in 2008 with little prior aircraft-industry experience and spent a decade building, selling, and supporting modern open-cockpit biplanes, the WACO YMF-5 series and the Great Lakes 2T-1A-2, while developing the YMF-5F floatplane and refining a relationship-driven approach to high-ticket aviation sales.

Under his leadership the company emphasized craftsmanship, customer presence, and matching the size of the operation to actual demand. In 2018 WACO was acquired by Dimor Group; Bowers guided the transition and then exited.He remains active in aviation. He owns an Aviat Husky on floats, among other aircraft, and regularly flies between Michigan and his island home on Gull Lake. Recognized as an expert in industry relationships and aircraft manufacturing. He has served with the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and on the board of the General Aviation Manufacturers Association. He now consults on the practical work of building, running, and exiting demanding businesses.
