Penny is a Richard and Judy summer reads author and winner of the East Aglian prize for fiction. She has written psychological thrillers including TIDELINE, THE DARKENING HOUR and A TRICK OF THE MIND. Her reading club / women's fiction novel I THOUGHT I KNEW YOU was optioned for film by 51 Entertanment in the US and won the East Anglian book of the year for fiction in 2019. Her most recent novel about family estrangment is THE CHOICE. Penny has written in the media on family and relationships. Previously she wrote graded readers for English Language students and Pebbles, a two level English language course for preschool children. Penny has two grown up daughters, a son and four granddaughters. Fascinated by fhe complexities of human relationships, family dynamics and the darker side of our personalities, swimming in cold water is where she gets her best, and often most frightening ideas!
