Paul Schwinghammer is a seasoned executive with decades of experience in the home building industry. The author is recognized for his leadership in business and operations. He and his business partner, Derek Wilder, founded Hallmark Homes, Inc., a custom home building company in the Midwest, in 1992. Under their leadership, the company grew to become one of the largest in the region, building over 3,000 custom homes throughout Indiana. During their tenure, they directed a full-time sales, warranty, production, estimating, and financial services team, consistently delivering exceptional quality and building trust with clients. The author served as President of the Indiana Builders Association, leading a 2,700-member organization focused on attainable and safe housing. He has also worked with state and national legislators to address housing industry issues and has taught courses on Aging-in-Place, Advanced Green Building, Diversification in Business, and Universal Design, and has spoken at national conventions. A graduate of Ball State University with a degree in Communications, the author also enjoys spending time with his wife, traveling, and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
