Patricia Gillette is an adventurer, a world traveler and enjoys having fun with other like-minded souls. She has a PhD in Psychology and has worked as a Licensed Psychologist for the past 30 years. She also is a Licensed Merchant Master Captain in the U. S. Coast Guard. She sailed the Great Lakes for many years. In 2002 she sailed from Lake Erie to St. Lucia in the Caribbean. For several years, she explored the many islands of the Caribbean from Guadeloupe to Trinidad. Finally, in 2017 she untied her dock lines to sail around the world, a dream she had for many years. "Around the World in 800 Days" is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the enduring power of the human mind to follow the path less traveled - the path our spirit visualizes for our own personal journey. When she is not sailing, she works to help others in her clinical capacity as a psychologist. She has worked for the U. S. Army, Navy and Air Force in Japan and Germany. Currently, she works for the U.S. Air Force at Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, AZ. She loves coaching others - to believe in themselves and listen to their inner voice, the wise self within.
