Parker is a career student and obsessive reader who writes slow burn, spicy contemporary romances about competent (usually nerdy) women finding and fighting for their HEAs.

​Parker's books are inspired by her former jobs and life experiences (interviewing for the CIA... twice), working in four states and with a variety of companies and school districts as everything from a movie projectionist to a curriculum advisor.

She has four degrees (from MIT to USC), meaning you'll see a lot of stories set in or around academia, four children, seven chickens and sometimes publishes children's books under Marie Chow.
