Paige Huskey taught writing and literature for twenty years. During that time, she secretly struggled with compulsive gambling for many years before finally seeking help on February 26, 2019. She credits Gamblers Anonymous with saving her life.

After paying off her massive gambling debt, Paige was able to quit her teaching job at the end of 2023. She set out to write a memoir about her gambling addiction and get more involved in awareness and prevention of gambling harm. Although she had published short fiction, poems, and academic texts, The Ultimate Comeback is her first book-length creative work. She plans to continue writing.

A former military spouse, Paige has traveled and lived around the world. She loves traveling and takes several trips a year between visiting family and friends all over the country and checking one or two new destinations off her bucket list. Currently residing in Dayton, Ohio, she considers the Miami Valley region one of the finest places in the country.
