Paul Turner was born on the West Coast and has spent his life in the Pacific Northwest. His career(s) have been mostly operating the arthouse cinemas he built himself with skills learned doing construction when he was young enough to carry heavy stuff and hubris-crushing old age had yet to set in. As with most motorcycle people, anything mechanical that makes noise undercuts his personality, and he has motorcycle-toured extensively across the western United States. His six years in college didn't earn him a diploma, but they helped hone his love of writing and making shit up. There is usually an old film camera packed away in his luggage when he travels, and he dabbles in all manner of photography. Most of his writing still comes as essays and movie reviews for his cinemas, and chunks of life outside the projection booth. He is hilarious. Just ask him.
