I am murder victim Ella Barham's cousin. I inherited Ella's remaining possessions and spent more than a decade researching and writing Remembering Ella: A 1912 Murder and Mystery in the Arkansas Ozarks to tell her story. It was a labor of love.

The 1913 Trial of Odus Davidson: The Official Witness Testimony is a companion book to Remembering Ella. It is the complete transcript of all testimony given during Odus Davidson's trial, lightly edited. Although I covered Davidson's trial extensively in Remembering Ella, I created this companion book to preserve the original testimony and to make it easily available to the public.

My mother is from Boone County, Arkansas, where the true story of Ella and Odus took place, so I've spent much of my life in that area.

I enjoy reading nonfiction history and a I'm preservation enthusiast. I successfully nominated several properties to the National Register of Historic Places. My passion is wandering the hills of the Arkansas Ozarks and studying its history.
