Nikki Sweeney is an educational leader, author, and speaker with more than thirty years of experience across both public and independent schools. She began her career in public education, where she spent a decade as a classroom teacher, before transitioning to independent schools, including twenty one years at University School of Milwaukee. There, she served in a range of leadership roles, including department chair and Director of Innovation and Educational Technology, helping to shape forward thinking programs that bridged disciplines and prepared students for a changing world. She most recently served as Head of Upper School and Assistant Head of School at The Village School of Naples, where she led transformative initiatives that expanded enrollment, strengthened academic outcomes, and reimagined the student experience. Nikki is the co author of The Virtue Code: A Guide to Flourish for the AI Generation and the author of The Quiet Crisis: And the Future Worth Building, a book that examines the structural challenges facing education and offers a hopeful, practical vision for redesign. Her work focuses on the intersection of leadership, human development, and emerging technologies, with a particular emphasis on how artificial intelligence is reshaping learning. She is the Executive Director of Pay It Forward Enterprises and The Virtue Code Advisory, where she partners with schools and organizations to design future ready systems grounded in purpose, connection, and growth. Her consulting work includes strategic planning, program innovation, leadership development, and ethical AI integration. Known for her relational leadership style and clear, strategic thinking, Nikki believes that the future of education depends not on incremental change, but on thoughtful redesign. Her work invites leaders to build institutions where both students and educators can thrive. She lives in Naples, Florida, with her husband, Joe Sweeney, a New York Times bestselling author and executive coach. Together, they are the proud parents of six children and grandparents to fourteen grandchildren. Their greatest joy is building a life centered on purpose, connection, and legacy, and helping others do the same in their families, their work, and their communities.
