It was never my intention to write about hard things. I wanted to write funny stuff, or at least the kind of book that brings warm fuzzies and happy tears. But what I have learned about God is that He is always right - and His plans are always higher. So here I am - writing about the challenges in life. Rejection. Loss. Pain points. Broken-heartedness. And do you know what? I am so grateful! As I've travelled through my own valley of rejection, I've learned that the hard stuff is really the heart stuff. And in every way God brings beauty from ashes. He uses the valley to breath new life into His kids, and when we hold fast to Him, things that used to hurt us are healed. As a bit of a background, I am a Registered Social Worker in private counselling practice in Ontario, Canada. I work exclusively with women as they travel through their own challenging seasons and I'm ridiculously passionate about sitting with women in their heartache. In other news, I am a travel junkie, and I love exploring our world with my husband Brent. We are a blended family with three adult children, and we have a highly anxious Bernedoodle named Sadie.
