Nicki Carnes is a pastor’s wife, ministry leader, and writer who is passionate about helping women flourish in their calling and relationships. Alongside her husband, Nick, she planted Hope Church in Augusta, Georgia, where she serves in multiple areas of ministry and leads women with authenticity, encouragement, and grace. For more than two decades, Nicki has walked through the unique joys and challenges of ministry life. Through seasons of deep friendship, painful misunderstandings, spiritual growth, and learning to lead while healing, she has developed a heart for helping women navigate friendships in ministry with grace and courage. Nicki is the author of Friendship in the Fishbowl, a practical and heartfelt guide for women in ministry who long for healthy connection while serving in the spotlight. Blending biblical truth, personal stories, and gentle humor, Nicki invites readers to pursue community, embrace vulnerability, and allow God to shape their relationships for His glory. When she is not writing or serving at her church, you can find Nicki planning events, creating resources for women, traveling, or spending time with her husband and their three adult children: Gavin, Tristan, and Hailey. She loves encouraging women to show up faithfully, lead with joy, and build community wherever God plants them.
