Nella Coiro is an author, a poet, a musician, and a retired counselor. She has overcome many struggles and hurdles throughout her life, from growing up in a toxic family, to dealing with serious medical issues, including kidney failure, six years on dialysis, and recently receiving a kidney transplant. Now she wants to inspire others, and assist them in finding their resilience and inner strength

Aside from writing, she enjoys strumming her guitar and painting, She also loves animals, especially dogs. Nella lives with her husband Ken, and their rescue dog, Logan.
