Natalie Bennett (or Baroness Bennett of Manor Castle for really formal occasions) is a Green Party member of the UK House of Lords. By profession a journalist (editor of the Guardian Weekly from 2007-2012), she's Australian by birth and British by choice. With degrees in agricultural science, Asian studies and mass communication, she's definitely into cross-dsciplinary thinking. A feminist since age five (when she was told because she was a girl she wasn't allowed to have a bicycle), she spent two years working as a volunteer in Thailand's National Commission on Women's Affairs. Her key intellectual influences include David Graeber, Tyson Yunkaporta, Kate Raworth, Ursula Le Guin, and Merlin Sheldrake.
