Nancy A. Cogar spent more than two decades as a television broadcast journalist before earning her law degree at Nashville School of Law. She covered hurricanes, presidential campaigns, and September 11th — and learned that listening carefully and explaining complex truths in plain terms is the most valuable skill a person can carry into any room. Today she applies that skill as an estate planning and elder law attorney at Samples, Jennings, Clem & Fields, PLLC in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She has guided hundreds of families through the legal and emotional realities of aging — and lived it herself, caring for her father through the final chapter of his life. Her mission: no family should face those decisions without knowing what their parents would have wanted. She is the author of BoomerTime™ Blueprint and host of the BoomerTime™ with Nancy Cogar podcast.
