Monte Crabbs is a retired school librarian, coach, drummer, and lifelong storyteller whose imagination knows no bounds. After years spent guiding young readers through the worlds of literature, he now crafts his own—dark, strange, and unforgettable. His stories blend horror, fantasy, and the uncanny, drawing inspiration from the eerie silences of empty libraries, the thunder of live drums, and the wild beauty of the Colorado landscape he calls home. Monte lives with his wife, Lisa Baue, on a small ranch in Colorado, where the mountains whisper stories and the nights spark inspiration, demonstrating that it’s never too late to pursue new passions and that the intersections of different paths can lead to the most fulfilling adventures. Monte is currently working on his second collection of short stories as well as his first novel.
