Montana Kane holds a Masters degree in English from DePaul University and grew up reading all sorts of stories, from every French comic book she could get her hands on to classics such as THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA, THE THREE MUSKETEERS and THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS. One of her great favorites as a kid was a series of novels starring a quick-witted French teenage girl who attends high school by day and fights crime by night wearing a mask, a cape, and a black beanie with a dangling pompon. These days, Montana is an award-winning translator of over 385 French-language comics who writes her own novels starring smart, crime-fighting women with a sharp tongue.
