Binks is a writer, former costume designer and burlesque performer. Her work includes a column for The Evening Standard and a cover story for The Sunday Times Magazine that was optioned for TV by NBCUniversal. Her first book series, featuring English milliner and amateur sleuth Opal Laplume, is set in Paris, Hollywood and Scotland. She enjoys writing in libraries and cafes all over London with her laptop or occasionally writes while lounging at home on the settee with her two cats Tarquin and Madame de Pompadot.
