About the Author Mike Taylor, the Founder and CEO of Innovative-e, Inc., has led a distinguished career in project and work management spanning over three decades. Since founding Innovative-e in November 1999, he has played a pivotal role in driving the company to serve both niche companies and Global 500 enterprises, addressing challenges in project management, custom application development, and infrastructure modernization. Mike also founded and serves as CEO of DigiOps, a software product company. His experience extends to providing program management, PMO office creation, and process improvement at various Fortune 500 companies in the US, contributing significantly to enterprise solutions and process improvements. Before his current ventures, Mike established Microtechnix International in 1990, a professional services company specializing in technology consulting, application development, and distributed infrastructure integration which led to substantial success and eventually sold in 1999. His earlier roles include being a Systems Analyst at McDonnell Douglas, where he developed algorithmic and expert systems (precursor to AI) project management software for NASA’s Kennedy Space Center supporting the Space Shuttle and International Space Station programs. Mike achieved his Project Management Professional (PMP) credential from the Project Management Institute (PMI) in 2001 and has maintained this status throughout each 3-year renewal cycle that requires ongoing participation and learnings in the project management field. Also, in addition to his role as a Founder and CEO, Mike is also a prolific content creator and speaker. His contributions include writing blogs, hosting webinars, and producing feature articles for various publications including CMS Wire, Forbes CIO Network, and CDW BizTech magazine.
