Mike Sielski is the author of three books, including "The Rise: Kobe Bryant and the Pursuit of Immortality" and "Fading Echoes: A True Story of Rivalry and Brotherhood from the Football Field to the Fields of Honor." He has been a sports columnist for The Philadelphia Inquirer and Inquirer.com since 2013 and was formerly a reporter at The Wall Street Journal. His work has been anthologized in "The Best American Sports Writing" and "The Year's Best Sports Writing," and in 2015 The Associated Press Sports Editors voted him the top sports columnist in America. He lives in Bucks County, Pa., with his wife and two sons.
