Michelle Jabès Corpora is a New York Times and Indie Bestselling author of books for young readers. The first book in her Throne of Khetara trilogy, His Face Is the Sun, was a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection and a Barnes & Noble Best Book of 2025. Michelle started her writing journey as a ghostwriter, writing five novels in a world-famous middle grade mystery series. In addition, she has worked as an editor of children's fiction and a concept developer for more than eighteen years. Michelle's career has been a long and winding road, which included a stint as a wedding and lounge singer, a veterinarian's technician, and a volunteer in a wildlife rehabilitation clinic. When she's not writing, Michelle trains in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Crazy 88 MMA, where she currently holds a blue belt. She also enjoys playing Dungeons & Dragons with her friends, reading Tarot, and trying to beat every single Escape Room on the east coast with her husband. She is currently in the "I like birds and ferns" stage of her life, and is very happy about it. Michelle lives in Frederick, Maryland with her loving husband, two wonderful daughters, a guinea pig/toupee named Olive, and a very good dog named Charlie.
