Michael Lengemann was born in 1976 in the Netherlands and spent his childhood and youth near Aachen. His career path took him to Munich, where he worked in the gaming industry for a long time. In 2015, he and his family moved to the Upper Palatinate, where he lives to this day. The family spends every free minute – particularly during Junior's school vacations – on their boat on the island of Cres along the Croatian Adriatic Sea. It's there that the plots for new books often emerge, and quite a few chapters have been written to the rhythm of gentle waves. The view of the open sea, the waves, and the stark nature are often a great source of inspiration. While he prefers to read science fiction and fantasy in his free time, his writing leans more towards the psychothriller, thriller, and occasionally mystery genres.
