Meladi Rae is a New Zealand-based non-fiction author, full-time Asset Inspector, and mom of two boys, including a teenager. Her passion for teaching teens about money grew from her own experience of growing up in a family where finances were never fully understood. After seeing the challenges that come from not knowing how money works, Meladi had to figure many things out on her own—often the hard way. That journey inspired her to help ensure her own children learn these essential life skills early, especially before they earn their first income. Through her Smart Money Skills for Teens series and Meladi Rae Publishing, she creates practical, easy-to-follow resources that help teenagers build financial confidence and independence. She is passionate about making financial literacy accessible to all teens, including those with ADHD and autism, so every young person has the opportunity to succeed. Meladi believes that learning how to manage money early can change a young person's future. By understanding the basics and putting them into practice, teens can build confidence, make smarter financial decisions, and develop habits that will benefit them throughout life. When she isn't writing, Meladi enjoys researching practical ways to make financial education engaging, accessible, and easy to understand. She values quality time with her family—especially Friday evening dinners together—and enjoys staying connected with friends and loved ones around the world.
