I’m the CEO and founder of TorranceLearning, a full-stack learning strategy, design & development, software & platforms, and professional development firm based in Michigan, USA. I am passionate about professional development in L&D and supporting Agile project management, xAPI adoption, evaluation strategies, and L&D’s role in cultivating racial equity in the workplace. Out of all of that comes my role as a thought leader and innovator in the industry, as I bring new books, learning communities, and products to market. That’s the official bio. And it’s all stuff I care deeply about. But there’s more to me than the day job. I play ice hockey (my goaltending style can be summed up as “swiss cheese”) and I’ve hiked into and back out of the Grand Canyon in a day. I love gardening and native plants—and I care for the gardens around the local school for neurodivergent students. I’m a Rotarian, a board member, a platelet donor, and all-around helper when you need it. And I’m a mom to a fantastic kid who teaches me so much about what it means to be human.
