Said, for being Irish, Maureen became Irish from her grandparents and mother's emigration to Canada from Northern Ireland. Maureen enjoys the reusable qualities of developing an interest in traditional art, such as sketching, writing free-verse poetry, and illustrating in pastel or watercolour. After qualifying for a Z Visa, Maureen travelled to China to confirm the location of employment to teach conversational English as a Foreign Language. Maureen has a degree in social work from the University of Calgary and a Certificate in Family Mediation from the Justice Institute of British Columbia.
