Matthew W. Quinn grew up in Marietta, Georgia and is a longtime writer of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. He sold his first horror tale "I am the Wendigo" in 2006, followed by licensed BattleTech fiction in 2009. After independently publishing his collection FLASHING STEEL, FLASHING FIRE, his first horror novel THE THING IN THE WOODS was published by Digital Fiction Publishing. After that came his horror-comedy novella LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG GUNS through Deadite Press. He later independently published a military fantasy novel BATTLE FOR THE WASTELANDS, the THING sequels THE ATLANTA INCURSION and THE WALKING WORM, and the WASTELANDS prequel "Son of Grendel" and sequel SERPENT SWORD. Matthew is a member of the Horror Writers Association Atlanta chapter and a regular participant in the film podcast MYOPIA MOVIES.
