Matthew N. Singleton is the author of The Life of John Joel Glanton: Texas Ranger, Scalp Hunter, and Outlaw and On the Texas Frontier: Selected Battles of the Texas Rangers, 1837–1860.
Born in Conway, South Carolina, Singleton served in the United States Army and completed one deployment to Afghanistan. A lifelong student of history, he developed a particular interest in the American frontier, the Texas Rangers, and the people who shaped the nineteenth-century Southwest.
He currently lives in the Nashville, Tennessee area with his wife and children. His writing focuses on the American frontier, the Texas Rangers, and the history of the nineteenth-century Southwest.
