Matthew Lowes is the author of numerous books and games, including the Three Earths fantasy trilogy, the Dungeon Solitaire fantasy tarot card game, and a series of spiritual nonfiction books. His novella, The End of All Things, was published by ShadowSpinners Press. His short stories have appeared in a variety of publications, including Dark Recesses, Anotherealm, The Lovecraft, and the ShadowSpinners anthology. In 2016, Matthew had a spiritual awakening that instantly transformed his life and perception of reality. In his spiritual books, Matthew offers direct insight into awakening. He addresses the mystery of our true nature through present experience and through a broad knowledge of traditions and practices. His teachings are universal and uncompromising of a truth which lies beyond words, thoughts, and concepts. Matthew is currently the president of Wordcrafters in Eugene and a teacher at the Center for Sacred Sciences. For over ten years he was the head instructor of Eugene Systema and has a black belt in Aikido, with 30 years of experience in martial arts. Lowes holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Wisconsin and an M.A. in Teaching from Pacific University. His interests range from literary theory to gothic architecture, from world religions to quantum physics, and from music to visual arts. He has traveled widely, and now lives in the Pacific Northwest, where every day he follows the inspirations for his diverse work.
