Matthew Hatami is an engineer, entrepreneur, and currently the chief operating officer of Lynx Oklahoma Operating. He holds a degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from West Virginia University and an MBA from Columbia University. Matthew started his career 23 years ago, working as a field engineer. He has worked in operations across multiple basins in the U.S. and overseas, primarily focusing on large-scale shale development. He has worked on the services side and the operating side, including positions working with geology, land, drilling, completions, production, reservoir, regulatory, legal, accounting, finance, and corporate strategy. Before venturing into the entrepreneurial arena, he was the vice president of resource development at American Energy Partners and American Energy Global Partners. He also worked as a senior asset manager at Chesapeake, in corporate strategy and planning at Hess Corporation, and as an engineer at Halliburton in the Permian Basin.
