MATTHEW FRANCIS (1995-) was born in the lakeside town of Duluth, Minnesota. He grew up consuming all the fantasy stories he possibly could read and watched way too much Food Network to be healthy. He earned his bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts Management and Entrepreneurship from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY in 2016. Now, Matthew has his own production company, FrancisFilm, LLC making recipe videos for multiple food media companies and building his own creative projects. He is the creator, host, and director of a food interview web show, DinnerViews. This novel, PRAX and the Hazardous Countdown, aims to be the first book in a six-part YA action fantasy series taking place in the fictional PRAX future. Later in life, Matthew plans on buying farmland in Minnesota to focus on creating a sustainable homestead, community kitchen, food studio, and building a family of his own.
