Masha Sova came to the U.S. at eighteen with a suitcase full of dreams and absolutely no idea that one day she'd be writing books filled with magic. She earned her degree in Early Childhood Education from Brooklyn College, but her true calling—storytelling—was always waiting in the wings.

Her lifelong passions? Animals and books. After founding an animal rescue in Brooklyn dedicated to saving the most heartbreaking cases of abuse and neglect, Masha did something equally brave: she started writing the stories she wanted to read.

She writes to make readers feel deeply, laugh unexpectedly, cry unapologetically, and fall completely in love with characters who would fight gods for each other. And yes, there will always be at least one animal. Probably more. Deal with it.
