Mary E. Miele is the Founder and CEO of Evolved Education Company, a New York City education consultancy serving families from early childhood through college. With 29 years in education, Mary has built a practice around a simple conviction: every student deserves a clear path forward, and every family deserves to understand it. EEC's promise — Vision, Realized — reflects that work.

Under Mary's leadership, EEC has grown from a solo tutoring practice into a multi-director team offering school placement, college counseling, tutoring, test preparation, executive functioning coaching, and special education support. Her three proprietary frameworks — the Integrated Executive Functioning (IEF) Model, the Evolved Education Problem-Solving Model, and the Evolved Education Paradigm — anchor how the firm assesses, strategizes, and implements for each family.

Mary is the author of nearly twenty books on education, learning, and admissions, including The Power of Questioning, Disability: Ability, There's a Strategy for That!, Supporting School: A Guidebook for Parents and Educators, A Parent's Guide to Tutoring, 10 Steps to Private School Admissions Success, and How to Tutor. Her most recent titles are First Class: 20 Modern Strategies for Starting College, co-authored with Sarah Bergin, and Selective Admissions: IN.

She hosts Be Evolved, a podcast ranked in the global top 5%, where she explores learning, admissions, and the realities of raising and educating children today.

Mary's teaching career includes work at Hunter College, The Spence School, The Hewitt School, and The Nightingale-Bamford School. She has served as an officer on the Executive Boards of Parent Associations and Parent-Teacher Associations across New York City's public and independent schools.

Mary holds a B.S. and an M.A.Ed. from New York University's Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development. She is permanently certified by New York State and New York City as a teacher of special education (K–12) and as a reading specialist (K–12), and holds a certificate in College Counseling from UCLA. Her work has been recognized with a Curriculum Grant Award from The Spence School and an Impact II Grant Award.
