Mary Easter believes the best moments with kids happen side by side, with a good book open between you. A mom and a grandmother, she writes warm, funny stories with patience and a whole lot of heart. Her picture books, Benny's a Big Brother and My Grandma Loves Lots of Dogs, open a gentle conversation about something real in a child's world, like a baby joining the family, a family that keeps growing, or a grandma whose couch belongs to the dogs. Mary reads the audiobook editions of her books herself, so children can hear her voice at story time. Look closely in each book and you may spot Pip, a tiny mouse who hides on every page.
