I was born in Sheffield and raised in South Yorkshire until the age of 8 when the family moved to the Isle of Man. I was educated in Sheffield, The Isle of Man, Jersey, Scotland and finally at the University of Wales, College of Cardiff. I gained a BSC Hons degree in Hotel and Institutional Management. I only lasted a few years in this industry before switching tack to work in property renovations. A business I have worked in for over 25 years. I have always been interested in writing. In the past I have written a play and several magazine articles but more latterly I have concentrated on comedy and humour. I have written and submitted comedic sketches and screenplays, many of which have been utilised or published. My ultimate ambition, however, was always to write an entire book. 'Best Kept Village' is my first book. I hope to write more. I have plenty of ideas! I am married to Lois, who is my amazing wife and soulmate. We have lived previously in Nottinghamshire, but have now resettled in Norfolk. We both enjoy boats and sailing, and we love going out to sail on the North Norfolk coast, or to cruise on The Norfolk Broads.
