Macha (short for Marie-Charlotte) Yao is a children’s illustrator and designer originally from France, now based in West Yorkshire with her family. Her vibrant, 90s-inspired style bursts with bright colors and characters full of personality, from adventurous animals in sneakers to spirited kids on a mission. Macha firmly believes that children’s books should empower young readers, inspire self-confidence, and always include a good dose of humor—because life shouldn’t be taken too seriously.
