LOUISE BJÖRNLUND was born and raised in Stockholm. She has worked as a journalist, communicator, copywriter, photographer and teacher. She has previously successfully published an educational children's book series about Flynner the Frog in her own publishing house. In April 2018, she made her debut as a crime writer with her first crime novel The Marionette in the series The Archipelago murders and has since focused entirely on the crime genre. Today there are four standalone books in the series and a fifth is in processing. She has always been fascinated by how to create stories by finding nuances, contrasts and details to convey genuine excitement. That, combined with finding unique intrigue, is what inspires her. What distinguishes Louise in her writing is the solid research where nothing is left to chance, a "straight" language with a strong drive through the story and excitement to the last page. Louise Björnlund stands out with her books in the series Archipelago murders with her unusually well-constructed and unique intrigues, fine environmental descriptions and strong characters. The main character, Kina Bergsmed, is an archipelago guide and a police volunteer. Louise herself is one of the police volunteers in her spare time. The plot of the books is set in the Stockholm archipelago where Louise spends a lot of time researching upcoming books in the series.
