About the author Lorraine Norwood is convinced she was born in the wrong country and the wrong century. In the here and now, she is a former journalist and archaeologist who lives in Western North Carolina. She is a member of the Historical Novel Society and the Women's Fiction Writers Association, Her debut novel, The Solitary Sparrow, is the first book in a four-book series called The Margaret Chronicles. She is at work on the sequel, A Pelican in the Wilderness. The novels are set in 14th century England, France, and Germany. She loves research and tries hard not to go down more than one rabbit hole at a time. She is seldom successfull. Lorraine is also a certified Book Coach and developmental editor who loves mentoring new or frustrated writers of historical fiction. Her mantra is: Better to be a late bloomer than never having bloomed at all.
