He lives in the American Southeast with his wife and their three cats, who remain unimpressed by dystopian futures.

As a teenager, Pike once met Isaac Asimov without realizing the significance at the time—a mistake he now sees as both humbling and strangely fitting. He writes stories meant to entertain first, provoke thought second, and linger long after the final page.
