Lew Bryson has been writing about beer and spirits since 1995. He was the managing editor of Whisky Advocate magazine from 1996 to 2015, and is the author of ten books. The most recent is "American Whiskey Master Class," an even more in-depth focus on American whiskey in the style of his previous book, "Whiskey Master Class," which was an all-inclusive look at the components that go into creating flavor and aroma in whiskey/whisky, from grain to yeast to still to blending to the intangible elements that make whiskey such a magic elixir. His first whiskey book, "Tasting Whiskey," is a survey course for the whiskey drinker, a synthesis of Bryson's over 20 years of learning, visiting, and writing about this amazing drink, the places where it's made, and the people who make it. Your man Lew lives in Centre County, PA in the tiny village of Millheim, with his wife, and Pippin and Sam, two feisty little Pembroke Welsh Corgis.
