In addition to writing and painting with watercolors, Leslie is also a marathon runner and quilter. She has her doctorate in biomedical sciences and enjoys tutoring middle and high school students in math and science. A mother of two, she and her husband reside in Buda, Texas, where he works as a chemical engineer. She began writing poetry as a way to express her feelings during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her first novel "Rising Pressure" launched in January of 2022. This inspired her to continue writing in the mystery genre and the birth of The Cari Turnlyle Series.
