Lauren Samples began her career as a US Navy police officer, gaining insights into law enforcement. This led her to earn a legal studies degree from Hodges University. After years in criminal law, she and her husband, Ken, started the true crime podcast “Paradise After Dark: Missing & Unsolved” in 2018, using storytelling to highlight lesser-known cases and advocate for victims. In 2023, Lauren founded The Florida Themis Project, a non-profit supporting families of unsolved crime victims and missing individuals. Her expertise, empathy, and determination drive her to address true crime issues and empower victims, with her influence expected to grow.
