Laura J. Moyers is a professor at Baker University. She teaches "Issues and Ethics with Technology Integration. In addition, she has been teaching music in the public school system for twenty-five years. She won 2nd place in the Henry Ford National Innovative Teacher Award. She was also recognized as the 2013 Leavenworth Elementary Teacher of the Year and 2013 Kansas Regional Teacher of the Year. In just twenty-four months, her innovative efforts garnered her school's music department over $16,000 in grants, including 20th Century Fox/N.A.F.M.F. and Glee Mash-Up awards. She is an accomplished speaker, children's entertainer, ventriloquist, singer, and published songwriter. Her "Soldier's Tribute" CD contributed nearly $4,000 to various veteran assistance groups, including The Wounded Warrior Fund and Army Community Service. She is active in her church's music and children's programs. She lives in Kansas where she enjoys spending time with her husband and family.
