Klaus E. Spieldenner, born in Germany 1954, published his best-selling book to date in 2017 with ELBTOD, the first crime novel about the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie. Since then, he has been synonymous with exciting storyboards, extensive research, and extraordinary locations "Made in Hamburg." He is supported by Detective Inspector Sandra Holz, who has kept readers on the edge of his seat for years. In 2024, after eleven regional crime novels, Spieldenner changed direction and gave the detective a breather. With Ernst Groß, he created a Hamburg native with rough edges, yet small and sensitive. His current Baltic Sea road crime novels are reminiscent of legendary road novels and, despite all adversities, are coherent and heartwarming. With "Ernst," Spieldenner not only enters previously uncharted territory but also brings a much-needed smile to his readers' faces. His book readings are popular: enlivened by music and always with that certain something.
