Kimberly McOwen Yim is cofounder and executive director of SOCO Institute, and she writes and speaks on issues related to human trafficking. She is coauthor of Ending Human Trafficking: A Handbook of Strategies for the Church Today (2022) as well as the book, Refuse To Do Nothing: Finding Your Power To Abolish Modern Day Slavery (20123). She sits on the advisory board of the Global Center for Women and Justice, the I-5 Freedom Network, and Special Operations. She was a member of Foreign Affairs Chair, Congressmen Ed Royce’s Human Trafficking Congressional Advisory Committee and currently joined Congresswoman's Young Kim's Congressional Human Trafficking Taskforce. Kimberly was a team member of the One Million Thumbprint campaign advocating and fundraising for women effected by extreme violence in war zones (www.onemillionthumbprints.org). Kimberly earned her MA from Fuller Theological Seminary and blogs at www.abolitionistmama.blogspot.com.
